Taking place in Panama on September 9 was a chess conference, in the course of which the FIDE presidential candidate Arkady Dvorkovich was sharing his four-year vision on the development of chess in FIDE and in America.
It was followed by representatives of ten American chess federations discussing the draft plan elaborated jointly by Dvorkovich's ticket member GM Julio Granda and the Venezuelan Chess Federation President Fidel Gonzalez. The plan reflects main ideas and aspirations of the American chess community. Each item was discussed in detail, which resulted in a few proposals added to the plan.
